The Last Stop!

Feb19

5 months of internship ended in a blink of an eye. Time flew by so quicky and I'm going back to SG on Monday. Being away from home for 5 months is no joke man! Sometimes I just get a bit home sick and wish that I could fly back to SG! However, I've survived this 5 months and cleared those obstacles and challenges that I had faced. I'm so proud of myself! Really. And also, a big THANK YOU to my mentor, KC! :)

I'm glad that I had this opportunity and option to come to Shanghai to work and it was a great experience be it working in Shanghai and Beijing as it increases my exposure and horizon. It changed my perspective too! And I think my cooking skills improved tremendously! hehe!

Well, I'm definitely excited to be going back home on Monday but I will miss Shanghai! The fact that I've stayed in Shanghai for a reasonable amount of time has made me develop feelings for this place. Definitely a nice place to shop, eat and sightsee. However, ultimately, SG is still the best because it's my home and its where I belong. I'm definitely not ditching SG for Shanghai! haha!

Also, having the chance to travel around China is so awesome. From Suzhou to Nanjing to Beijing and lastly Hangzhou. Though we had budget constraint, we still had a lot fo fun~! That's most important! :)

Now, I can't wait to go back to SG. Hit the sheets immediately and wake up next morning feeling fresh! :) I had enough of winter and I need the SUN badly. I need to exericse for goodness sake, get some tanning, register for driving, watch tv, meet up with friends, find a temp. job to earn some money, travel again before Uni starts. Nice, I have a whole lot of activities to do after I touched down.

Await for my reutrn peeps. I'm finally going home! It's just 2 more days!! :)

Won't be posting on this blog already. Returning to wordpress! I miss wordpress, like seriously.

One of the Seven Wonders!

Jan31

Back in Shanghai on last Saturday. This trip was worth it! Though work was much tiring in Beijing office as compared in Shanghai, I had a great time there~ The food and places of attractions were just wonderful! :) But I hate the traffic and super dry and polluted weather! :/

Visited one of the seven wonders in the world! GREAT WALL OF CHINA! A must visit attraction when you go Beijing! You won't regret as the view is simply awesome. Magnificent!

Climbed for like 1 hour and we gave up. It was too steep when we reached the top. Air was so thin that I could just faint anytime. lol, kidding. Just kinda difficult to inhale oxygen! The harder I inhale, my throat became more dry. But by looking from the top of Great Wall, the view was simply stunning! Thumbs up~

Haven't been watching or reading the news lately. Great that the hotel provides newspapers and its in english! phew~

Oh.... and this is my favourite drink in China. I don't think I could get it in Sg if I'm not wrong. It's a must to drink when I'm in China~ :))

That almost sums up my entire trip in Beijing. Two weeks and the experience was wonderful and memorable! A great exposure for me. Everyday, there's something new to learn and experience. I'm thankful!

I've been eyeing on BEATS for quite some time already and realised that Shanghai do sell them and its at a cheaper price. Slightly less than 400sgd. Went to test the headphones and it was awesome much~ The sound quality just blew me completely. The red one looks damn chio right!!? White one looks beautiful too. Wanted to buy it ytd but seems like everywhere is OOS already and CNY is just 2 days away. Quite a no. of shops in Shanghai has stopped business :(((( rawr! I hope to get it before leaving Shanghai!

My ipod of 5 years died on me this morning and I was so sad! :(((( Walau, it accompanied me for 5 years you know! Gonna get a new itouch 4th gen (probably 32G) when I return back to SG! The best part is my BEATS will fit just perfectly with my new itouch! :DD Can't wait to lay my hands on both of it!

I'm just not the typical type of girl. I'm a gadget girl! I love gadgets more than clothes and shoes! :)

Anyway, I'm excited. Coming back home in 3 week's time! :D

Happy CNY peeps! I'm having off-days from 2-8feb! :)) Awesome shit!

Peking

Jan19

11:11pm

My 21st birthday started off.... by going to the airport to catch a flight to Beijing~

Our hotel, coolz!

Rested for a while and went to had dinner, pekking duck. Yummy~

Supposed to get my bday cake but couldn't find the cake shop that we looked for online! :((( So had to get a starbucks cake for that day. Very nice~

Finally got my belated birthday cake TODAY (19JAN2011) after ordering it online~ :) Delicious ttm!

Been spending my time in Beijing eating GOOD FOOD~ I gained addditional weight after coming to Beijing!! :/ Every morning we have buffet breakfast in the hotel, then go to work, lunch @ canteen for FREE! (staff welfare) then dinner at some random place that research on. Super FAT ttm!! There's not even a second that I feel hungry in Beijing, haha!

Well, Beijing is awesome. Treating me pretty well! :D I just hate the traffic, horrible! It's also so congested! I'm looking forward to weekend so that I can go Ski, climb the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, etc... Exciting much~

Shall sleep soon.

Nanjing trip~

Jan14

I really need to blog. So many overdue pictures, but Internet is a bitch at home :/ Anyway, managed to upload some from my Nanjing trip from 1-3 January 2011... I'm lazy to elaborate much so just look at the pictures. lol!

Okay, I need to talk a little about this place that we went. We visited Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall. It is for the people killed in the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese army in and around the then capital of China, Nanjing, after it fell to the Imperial Japanese Army on December 13, 1937. It was really a sad place, but worth the trip!

Then dinner @ Tacos before heading to the railway station back to Shanghai.

Overall, the trip was great~ just a little cold for me but its ok! :)

Awesome! I'll be going to BEIJING for two weeks departing on Sunday, which is on my birthday. How great~ Beijing has been one of my must-go city in China and now I have this chance. Thanks to my lovely boss~ :DD However, the thought of packing thick clothing etc… makes me sick :/

I think it’s so gonna be damn awesome in Beijing (minus the weather and dry condition). We are staying in a 5-star hotel and we can go visit Great Wall of China, Forbidden City etc… we are also deciding to go SKI~

Oh well, yesterday was SERENA'S 21ST BDAY~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESTF!! And mine in 2 days time and I am so not looking forward to it. It's my TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY. I don’t know how to even celebrate in Beijing. No ideas at all. Hmm… but I’m definitely getting myself a cake! (: Wee~

I hope the Internet speed in Beijing will be better so that I can blog and upload pics~

ciaoz.

Soon to be NEWYEAR 2011!

Dec31

Hey peeps, new year 2011 in a few hours time. FYI I am blogging from the office. Opps~ haha.

Yes, and this is my first time celebrating New Year in a foreign land. Hope it turns out great! ;) Made plans to celebrate our New Year. It will be cold but I just hope I will be able to withstand the weather at night and the always-so-strong wind!

I'm having mixed feelings while blogging. Counting down without bestf seems weird. Atmosphere is different too as compared to SG and Shanghai! Whatever it is, its a brand new experience for me and its all worth it! :D Time passes so quickly and it has been more than 3 months here in Shanghai. 2 more months and I'll be back to my sunny tiny island called HOME! :) Can't wait to be back home with my family and friends with my favourite bed, sofa, food and people! Awesome much~ First time being away from home for so longgggggggggg and I don't deny that i miss SG really much. The weather (kinda especially so during winter time that I miss the SUN so much), people, food, cleanliness, water, air, transport, and basically just anything and everything.

Oh great, I'll be spending my important 21st bday in Shanghai and I don't know what to do! Ideas please? lol. I thought of trying clubbing (since I've never done that at all) but I think I shall drop that idea since its really not my cup of tea and I know deep down inside my heart that it will be a waste of money and time. lol! Not a party person at all~ Shall think of other activities to do then!

My new year resolutions don't really work out for me so I think I shall skip that. HAHA. Actually I do have a wish, which is to be accepted in a local uni! :)) Like pls, I need a place~ so choose me! lol.

I'm leaving office soon, will definitely blog about my Nanjing trip after I'm back! :)

HAPPY ADVANCE NEW YEAR 2011 EVERYONE~!

Till then,

xoxo
